Super Bowl Trilly: Day 4 of 5
Greetings all,
We’re winding down Super Bowl week, almost to the finish line. You can find the chronicles from Day 1 here, Day 2 here and hell, you can even find Day 3 here. Day 4, let’s get it:
Thursday, January 31st
-We talked to Lavonte David, from the Tampa Bay Cheahs. Nice guy, but he’s a Duke fan. It’s a real shame I have to root against him on the field for this revelation. A real shame indeed.
-We also talked to Gary Vaynerchuk, who is worth $160 million dollars. You know how when you see a Brinks truck out and about, you always wonder if you could overpower the guard, make away with several million dollars in unmarked bills and live a new life? That’s how I felt being that close to Gary. He was a nice guy, but there’s no doubt we could have jumped him into Venmoing us about $5 million dollars a piece. Next time.
-You know how many beers I’ve drunk this week? Seven.
-It’s time to talk about Charlie.
-Charlie is a fan that has showed up every day this week of radio faithfully. He sat front row center yesterday by himself. With one single beer and a notebook/pen. I saw Charlie early and realized he was either there to support us all, or kill us all. Maybe both. We shall see!
-I’m basically the Cus D’Amato of the MHOC. If you know, you know.
-Demarcus Ware came by radio and changed my entire perspective on the game. He told us that Wade Phillips has one “Dad Game” a year, where he wears his father’s old coat to the game and pulls out all the stops playcalling. This sold me more than any actual analysis could. I’m leaning toward Rams. I’ll make my final FINAL pick in tomorrow’s chronicles.
-I do the graphic design for my day-by-day graphics. That’s something that a lot of people don’t know.
-The highlight of my week? Free food and alcohol? A week of kibbitzing with stars? No and no. I ordered a weighted blanket this week and it finally came. I’ve been sleeping like a goddamn baby.
-Porzingis got traded. You can hear my long-form reaction on this week’s Mickstape. I’ll post my short-form reaction here, from the Knicks perspective: hahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahah.
Until next time.
